How to Add Your Fayetteville.net Email Account in Netscape 4.xx

Note: If you email address is johndoe@fayetteville.net, then your username will be in the form johndoe@fayetteville.net.

1. Open Netscape Communicator.

   

2. If Creating a New Profile pops up, click here. Otherwise go on to step #3.
3. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences....

   

4. Click the + sign by Mail & Newsgroups.
5. Click Identity under Mail & Newsgroups.
6. Type your name in the Your Name box.
7. Type your email address in the Email Address box.

   

8. Click Mail Servers under Mail & Newsgroups.
9. Type smtp.fayetteville.net in the Outgoing mail(SMTP) server box.
10. Type in your username in the Outgoing mail server user name box (remember to use a % not a @).
11. Click the Add button.

    

12. Type fayetteville.net in the Server Name box.
13. Click the down arrow on the Server Type drop-down list and choose POP3.
14. Type your username in the User Name box (remember to use a % not a @).
15. Click the Ok button.

    

16. Click the Ok button.
