How to Update Your fayetteville.net Email Account in Netscape 4.xx

Note: If you email address is johndoe@fayetteville.net, then your username will be in the form johndoe@fayetteville.net.

  1. Open Netscape Communicator.

  2. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences....

  3. Click the + sign by Mail & Newsgroups.
  4. Click Identity under Mail & Newsgroups.
  5. Type your name in the Your Name box.
  6. Type your email address in the Email Address box.

  7. Click Mail Servers under Mail & Newsgroups.
  8. Type your fayetteville.net in the Outgoing mail(SMTP) server box.
  9. Type your username in the Outgoing mail server user name box (remember to use a % not a @).
  10. Select your old Incoming Mail Server by clicking on it once.
  11. Click the Edit button.

  12. Type fayetteville.net in the Server Name box.
  13. Click the down arrow on the Server Type drop-down list and choose POP3.
  14. Type your username in the User Name box (remember to use a % not a @).
  15. Click the Ok button.
